On March 22, 2025, A&O LAW proudly supported the BNI Dilaab Chapter’s Women Empowerment Month celebration held at the Armstrong Conference Hall of Quest Hotel in Cebu City. The event brought together dynamic women leaders and entrepreneurs for an afternoon of inspiration, collaboration, and shared advocacy.
Atty. Janel Obnimaga, a partner at A&O LAW, opened the program with heartfelt welcome remarks. She highlighted the firm’s commitment to fostering inclusive growth and supporting women in leadership across industries. “Empowering women is not just a theme—it’s a practice we uphold in our profession, our partnerships, and our community engagements,” Atty. Obnimaga said.
The event featured keynote speaker Atty. Mae Elaine T. Bathan, former Undersecretary for Legal and Special Concerns and Chief of Staff at the Department of Tourism. Atty. Bathan, also a partner at DivinaLaw and Assistant Dean at the University of San Jose-Recoletos School of Law, shared her journey in public service and law, emphasizing the importance of resilience, ethical leadership, and mentorship in empowering women across sectors.
